A curtain hides the falling fires of death and destruction. A curtain provides a sense of safety.

The Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv is under martial law. Any citizen willing to fight the Russian invaders will be given a weapon. People are fleeing their burning homes. Politicians are preparing to die for their country.

During these unforeseen times, Ukraine needs you. Here are a few organizations you can donate to:

It is difficult to donate from all the countries to some of these organizations. But if you are from the U.S., Australia, Canada, Europe, you can donate to most of these organizations.

The list will grow as I find more. Feel free to make your own suggestions in the comments below.

International Medical Corps

International Medical Corps is responding to the conflict by expanding access to medical and mental health services for those living in affected communities.

Vostok SOS

Vostok SOS is responding to the escalating situation with a comprehensive humanitarian campaign. They help people evacuate, and provide humanitarian aid and psychosocial support. They have hotlines open for affected people and their team is on the ground in the region, ready to coordinate aid.

Your donation will help them deliver medical and humanitarian aid to local people, evacuate vulnerable people, and provide tailored trauma support in the aftermath of shelling.

All the details for bank account, PayPal, credit card donations are given on this page.

United Help Ukraine

United Help Ukraine (UHU) is working to provide life-saving individual first aid kits (IFAKs containing blood-stopping bandages and tourniquets) and other emergency medical supplies to the front lines.

In addition, UHU is also cooperating with other emergency response organizations to prepare humanitarian aid to civilians that might be directly affected if Russian forces attack.

It’s currently raising money to send first aid kits and other humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The fund has surpassed its goal of $600,000, but is still accepting donations.

International Committee of the Red Cross

The ICRC is responding to urgent humanitarian needs and must be able to continue their life saving work. ICRC water engineers and doctors aim to help more than 3 million people access clean water and improve the living conditions of more than 66,000 whose homes have been damaged by heavy fighting.

The International Committee of the Red Cross - together with its partners in the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement – remains active in Ukraine, saving and protecting the lives of victims of armed conflict and violence. Their neutral and impartial humanitarian action supports the most vulnerable people.

Sunflower of Peace

Sunflower of Peace has officially started a fundraiser to prepare first aid medical tactical backpacks for paramedics and doctors on the front lines. In 2014-2016 those backpacks helped paramedics and doctors on the front lines save hundred and hundred of lives. Those were the bags they didn't leave out of their sight as they had everything to preserve a person's life and get them to proper medical care alive. It meant the world to them then and it will mean the world to them now.

Each backpack has the ability to save up to 10 lives: Ukrainian soldiers, civilians, volunteers, and children. It includes a variety of first aid supplies: bandages, anti hemorrhagic medicine like Quikclot and Celox, medical instruments, and a means for survival in extreme conditions.

The fund has also surpassed its goal—$200,000—but is continuing to fundraise.
